The HoSang Family
Vincent and Jeanette HoSang met in Bronx, NY after migrating to the United States for better opportunities. Vincent worked at a briefcase factory and later became a milkman. Jeanette went to Pace University to become a registered nurse.
After they married in 1976, they bought a fried chicken store on Kingsbridge Road in the Bronx. It was there they introduced the popular, hand held Jamaican patties. Their business did so well, they expanded to Dyre Avenue where their main focus was on Jamaican patties, bakery items and cuisine. To keep up with demands, they would expand three more times to Mount Vernon, NY and later sending the patty production to Tappan, NY. An addition was built on the facility in Tappan to grow production from two lines to three lines with more automation. This gave Caribbean Food Delights the ability to start a new line of products for the cross over market, Sabrina's Delights.
Sabrina's Delights
The HoSang's four children became involved in the family business. Damian, the oldest can be found managing in the Mount Vernon, NY retail location alongside his mom, Jeanette. Brian, the youngest, enthusiastically worked with his older brother and mom until he passed away tragically in 2008.
Sabrina & Simone work in the Tappan, NY location with their father, Vincent HoSang. Sabrina is the Chief Executive Officer while Simone is the Chief Operating Officer.
After much brainstorming, the brand name of this new product line was named after the oldest daughter and CEO of the company, Sabrina HoSang.
